Family Law
Family law is the unique blend and balancing of the legal, personal, emotional and financial interests of the parents, children, the laws of Missouri and the specific facts of the case. Your case has issues similar to other cases but with differences that make it important to have realistic expectations and goals from beginning to end. No two cases are exactly the same and the emotional and psychological factors cannot be underestimated if you hope to achieve the results you want in a family law case. In too many domestic cases it becomes a matter of making the best out of a bad situation. It is also true that how you accomplish your goals does make a difference in the eventual success of your case and how you feel about it six months after it is over.
The Domestic Arena
Domestic matters are normally filed in the county where the person resides. There are exceptions and sometimes conflict over the proper jurisdiction in a domestic case. This firm services regularly the following counties in Missouri: Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass, Lafayette, Ray and Johnson. Clinton, Caldwell, Pettis, Saline, Cooper and other Counties are visited as well.
Domestic-related matters are often heard in Municipal Courts as well and this firm appears in those cases in Cities in the Kansas City Metropolitan area on the Missouri side.
